Ever since she burst onto our screens as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, Sarah Jessica Parker has been one of the world's biggest style icons. From haute couture gowns to designer outfits, Sarah Jessica is renowned for her high fashion style, but the 50-year-old revealed there's one outfit she always prefers.

Sarah Jessica Parker has opened up about her evolving style

"Jeans and a really great grey sweatshirt," she told the Huffington Post. "And a really fancy necklace and really fancy shoes! The truth is, I wear jeans probably more than all my other woman friends."

Sarah Jessica also recently opened up about her personal style and how it has changed over the years. "I think it's certain my style has changed," she told Fashionista. "I think, first of all, your point of view changes. And probably, if you look back at choices you made five years ago, you wouldn’t necessarily regret anything — you might go, 'I don’t know if I would wear that dress today,' but you were probably really happy wearing it at the time."

The I Don't Know How She Does It star also admitted that motherhood had played a role in her evolving style, particularly when it comes to her adorable twin daughters, although she revealed she didn't think it was always a conscious choice.

The Sex and the City star admitted she doesn't tend to follow trends

"I have daughters," she said. "Is that part of my decision making? Probably not that consciously, but I would probably not go pick [them] up in something that I used to wear, just because it’s not right for me."

With fashionistas around the world looking to Sarah Jessica for style inspiration, the actress revealed that while she doesn't tend to follow trends anymore, she admitted she thought they played an important role in how she dresses herself nowadays.

"I tend to wear things and buy things that are for life now. I’m less inclined to be hypnotized by a trend or a 'moment,' but I think that’s a really important part in young women's lives," she said. "To experience and dabble and sort of flirt with all those things because it sorts out who you are. That’s just not necessarily what I’m looking for now. That’s probably the biggest change — just how I look at purchases."
