Heidi Klum hits back at Donald Trump's controversial comments

August 19, 2015

Donald Trump may have recently made some controversial comments about Heidi Klum, but they haven't phased the supermodel. The 42-year-old took to Instagram to hit back with a humorous video after the entrepreneur said that she was "no longer a ten".

Heidi Klum initially addressed Donald Trump's comments with a short clip

"#TrumpHasSpoken #sadly #9.99 #NoLongerA10 #IHadAGoodRun #donaldtrump #trumped #HeidiTrumpsTrump #BeautyIsInTheEyeOfTheBeheld," she wrote in the caption.

In the short clip, Heidi can be seen posing at a photoshoot in a white T-shirt with a sign reading "10", before a man wearing a Donald Trump mask runs over and rips off the sign, leaving her with a T-shirt describing her as a "9.99". The supermodel then shrugs off her new 'rating' and continues to smile.

Within moments of the video being posted on the social media website, Heidi's 1.8 million followers began praising her for making light of the situation.

Donald Trump said that Heidi was "no longer a ten" in a recent interview

Donald made the comments earlier this week during an interview with the New York Times. "Sometimes I go a little bit far," he said, before adding, "Heidi Klum. Sadly, she's no longer a ten."

Since starring in the funny video, Heidi has spoken up about the US Presidential candidate, revealing that she didn't know why she had "no idea" why she had been his target.

"Personally, I have no idea what I have to do with the election," she told Access Hollywood. "Why do I come into play with this election? Like that doesn’t make sense to me to be honest with you."

The German beauty also admitted that while she had initially turned the comments into a humorous situation, she was angry that he had made them in the first place.

"But really, the whole entire situation about women is not really funny, you know, to put a number on a woman – especially women," she said. "We juggle so many things and I feel that, you know, women who support their families, who have children, who make their lunches, drive them all over the place, work at the same time, I mean, we do so many things, so in my book, every woman is a ten."
