British singer Ella Eyre – who lent her bellowing vocals to Rudimental’s Brit Award-winning anthem Waiting All Night – speaks exclusively to HELLO! Fashion Monthly for our October issue, out now.

After taking the festival circuit by storm this summer, Ella opens up about the sacrifices she’s made for music, being body confident and her ‘strong not skinny’ mantra, and how her Jamaican heritage inspires her unique sense of style.

"I’m more into fabrics than labels; I’m not a fan of cheap materials. I’m also quite aware of my body shape. I wouldn’t say I’ve got model-like long legs – I’m curvaceous, which is perfectly fine. So it’s a question of accentuating certain features."

The 21-year-old, who is following in Beyonce’s footsteps as the new face of the Emporio Armani Diamonds fragrance, also shares her favourite fashion and beauty tips with the new UK fashion glossy, including the styling secrets behind that hair. "Back-brushing is key – it’s amazing what you can do with dry hair. People always ask if I’m wearing extensions, but it’s all down to the Babyliss Back Comb Brush (£3.99)."

The full interview appears in the October issue of HELLO! Fashion Monthly – on sale 1st September.
