Lily-Rose Depp makes Vogue debut

September 25, 2015

Lily-Rose Depp's burgeoning career as a model has already seen her become the face of Chanel, and now the 16-year-old can celebrate yet another coup. The daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis has landed her first major fashion spread, and for fashion bible Vogue, no less.

Lily-Rose Depp gave a sneak peek of the editorial her Instagram

The young teen proudly shared snippets of the upcoming editorial, shot by renowned photographer Inez Vinoodh, with her 822,000 Instagram followers.

"No more Mr. Nice guy…" she captioned one black-and-white image, which sees her looking the spitting image of her mother while wearing a black high-neck top with ruffled sleeves paired with patterned trousers. Rocking a dramatic thick winged eyeliner look, Lily-Rose seems to channel past French icons from Brigitte Bardot to Catherine Deneuve.

Other snaps see close-up shots of the rising star, looking every inch a beauty icon modelling everything from smudged mascara to colourful pink and yellow eyeshadows.

This marks another milestone in Lily-Rose's blossoming career

It's been a successful year for Lily-Rose as she continues to make waves in the fashion industry. In July she was unveiled as the new face of Chanel's Pearl eyewear range, in a campaign shot by the label's creative director Karl Lagerfeld.

"Lily-Rose is stunning," the fashion designer said in a statement at the time. "She's a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star."

The young model already shared a close relationship with the brand – not only is mum Vanessa one of Karl's muses, but Lily-Rose was spotted heading to Chanel's casino-themed haute couture Autumn/Winter 2015 show at the opulent Grand Palais.

While she's following in her mum's stylish footsteps, she's also been turning her attention to the world of Hollywood. Lily-Rose is reportedly set to follow her father's successful acting path, making her debut as the leading role in upcoming 19th century drama The Dancer.
