Johnny Depp has revealed that he didn't expect his teenage daughter's career to take off so quickly – and naturally, the protective dad has expressed some concern. Lily-Rose is the actor's first-born and only daughter with his ex-partner Vanessa Paradis.
Earlier this year Lily-Rose was announced as the new face of Chanel. The budding fashion model has also just landed an editorial spread for Vogue – all by the age of 16.
The actress has also starred alongside her father in debut feature film Yoga Hosers, a horror-comedy due to be released next year.
"I wasn't expecting all this to happen to Lily-Rose, especially not at this age," said Johnny Depp
Given his daughter's sudden rise to fame, Johnny, 52, admitted: "To be honest, I'm quite worried. I wasn't expecting all this to happen to Lily-Rose, especially not at this age. But it's her passion and she's having fun."
The Pirates of the Caribbean star added to Germany's Gala magazine: "She knows I'm always there for her."
Johnny also shares a 13-year-old son Jack with his ex-partner Vanessa. The couple, who were together for more than a decade, split in June 2012.
Johnny went on to date Amber Heard, after meeting her on the set of The Rum Diary, and the pair married in February of this year, in a private civil ceremony in their Los Angeles home.
Earlier this year the teenager was named the new face of Chanel's eyewear range
Apart from living in the spotlight as Johnny and Vanessa's teenage daughter, the stylish teen has made waves in both the fashion and modelling industries.
Lily-Rose has inherited her French mother's beautiful looks and it comes as no surprise that she became a muse for Chanel's creative director Karl Lagerfeld, who has worked with Vanessa on previous campaigns.
"Lily-Rose is stunning," said Karl in a statement, explaining why he chose the rising star to be the new face of the French fashion house's Pearl eyewear range. "She's a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star."
