Cristiano Ronaldo is already a sports icon, entrepreneur and successful model, and now the 30-year-old can add yet another accolade to his ever-growing empire. The handsome footballer took to the catwalk for the first time on Monday as he launches the Autumn/Winter 2015 collection of his CR7 Footwear label.

"I was a little nervous at first!" he admitted after the show. "It was a totally new experience for me, but it was a lot of fun!"
The Portuguese star unveiled his new range at an exclusive event held in his home country, where he showcased some of his favourite pairs from the collection and officially opened a gallery installation featuring his CR7 Footwear AW15 styles as art pieces.
"With CR7 Footwear, it is all about style so I wanted to create a fashion presentation that really focused on the collection itself," he explained. "The fashion show demonstrated how you can wear each different style and the art display really showcased each piece beautifully. The International Arts Centre features the work of some of the world’s most important artists, so it’s fantastic to have presented our collection here today."

"For the second collection of CR7 Footwear we wanted to focus on creating classic, timeless formal styles that can be worn every day but that have a unique flair- a special twist or detail in every piece," he continued. "As always, quality and comfort are extremely important, so we have used the very best quality materials and craftsmanship to create beautiful silhouettes, hand crafted here in Portugal. I believe there is something for every man."
Cristiano is no stranger to the world of modelling – he has already fronted various campaigns for his own labels as well as major sports brands. However, this marked Cristiano's catwalk debut, yet another milestone in his career.
