Amal Clooney dazzles in vintage Chanel for appearance in Davos with husband George

January 18, 2017

All eyes were on Amal Clooney at a special dinner hosted in Davos, Switzerland on Tuesday. The British-Lebanese barrister looked stunning in a vintage embellished Chanel dress to attend the Women of Impact dinner hosted by Tina Brown during the World Economic Forum.

Amal was one of those honoured at the event, and was also invited to speak in front of prestigious guests including Chinese president Xi Jinping, U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, and of course, her proud husband George Clooney.

While George looked typically dapper in a smart grey suit, it was Amal who stole the show in an ivory sequin embellished dress from Chanel's spring/summer 1963 collection.

The vintage sleeveless gown featured a flattering layered effect with a complementing grey waistband. Amal accessorised the look with a pair of Paul Andrew heels and clutch bag, along with statement drop earrings.

The 46-year-old wore her hair in loose curls and lent a pop of colour to her natural make-up with a copper-toned lipstick.

Amal's flawless appearance follows another stylish outing she made with her husband in London earlier this month. The 38-year-old wore a floral Dolce & Gabbana shift dress to attend a Netflix screening of The White Helmets at the Bulgari Hotel.

She teamed the dress with patterned tights and velvet ankle boots. Her hair was left down in loose curls while she wore a bronze smokey eye and matching lip colour.

Amal recently opened up about her mother and their close bond. During a keynote address at the 2016 Texas Conference for Women, Amal said: "Growing up, my mother was definitely a role model.

"She was always a working woman and someone who is independent and cared about her career and cared about being independent but also had balance."
