It is nearly 18 years since Victoria and David Beckham tied the knot in an extravagant ceremony. And we had almost forgotten about the co-ordinating royal purple ensembles they each wore at their wedding reception – until now.
David reflected on their choice of wedding outfits during his interview on BBC's Desert Island Discs, and admitted that while he liked Victoria's dress, he wished he had gone for a more subdued look. The former England captain wore a vibrant purple suit with a floral corsage on the shoulder, while Victoria donned a fitted gown with floral detailing across the shoulder and a dramatic thigh high split.

"Victoria's was nice," David said. "I looked like one of the guys out of Dumb and Dumber when they went to that party. I even had a top hat. Unbelievable. What was I thinking?"
The couple have come a long way in the style stakes since their wedding, and have each made their mark on the fashion world. David has his own Modern Essentials collection with H&M and is the face of British menswear brand Kent & Curwen, while Victoria is now an established fashion designerwith her eponymous label.
The couple have since renewed their vows
David also admitted that he and Victoria have since renewed their wedding vows, and said it was a lot more low-key than their first ceremony. "We have renewed our vows since [our first wedding]. It was a lot more private, about six people there in our house," he revealed, adding that his marriage to Victoria is a priority in his life.
