Bella Hadid has spoken publicly about her split from The Weeknd for the first time. The model admitted she found the break-up in November difficult, and said she will "always love" the Star Boy singer in a revealing interview with Teen Vogue.
"It was my first break-up… and so public," Bella said of the break-up, which came after an 18 month relationship. "As an outsider, you might think I handled it so well, but it's always in your heart, and you always feel it very heavily. It'll be hard for a while. Love hurts, but you have to pull through."

Bella also revealed she still loves the performer – whose real name is Abel Tesfaye – despite their split. "I'll always respect him, and I'll always love him," she added. "Sometimes you want to be sad about it or handle it differently, but at the end of the day, you never want to burn a bridge that you've fought so hard to build."

Since then The Weeknd has been revealed to be dating Selena Gomez, and the pair have made no secret of their affection for each other. After being spotted kissing outside a restaurant in Santa Monica in January, the new couple have enjoyed a string of high profile dates, including a romantic getaway to Florence and Venice together.

Bella has not commented on her ex-boyfriend's new relationship, but quickly unfollowed Selena on Instagram after the photos of her and Abel were first released. Instead the 20-year-old has been focusing on her modelling career, and has recently landed a number of new SS17 campaigns as well as walking the runway in some of the most high profile New York Fashion Week shows.
