London Fashion Week AW17: Everything you need to know

London Fashion Week returns to the capital on Friday, with a new location, new designers and the new AW17 collections to look forward to. With highly-anticipated presentations from established designers including Burberry and Erdem, along with up-and-coming talents like Richard Malone and Shrimps, it is set to be an inspirational and exciting five days in the capital. Read on for our guide to all you need to know about this season's event.

The Store Studios on the Strand is the new home of London Fashion Week after previously being hosted at Brewer Street Carpark. The venue, where London Fashion Week Men's also takes place, fulfils the BFC's ambition of "creating a fashion and cultural hub in the heart of London". There will be 51 catwalk shows and 32 presentations throughout London Fashion Week from designers including Julien Macdonald, Ashish and Topshop Unique. Meanwhile the Halpern and Richard Malone shows have been named "One to Watch" by the British Fashion Council. See here for the full schedule.

CHANGES:

Roland Mouret will make his return to London Fashion Week in honour of the brand's 20th anniversary after ten years of presenting at Paris Fashion Week. We can also expect more opportunities for shoppers to get involved, with designers including Burberry and Topshop Unique launching collections that are instantly available to buy after their shows end.

LONDON FASHION WEEK FESTIVAL:

The London Fashion Week Festival will take place after the main event between 23 and 26 February, with a series of fashion events for the public. There will be giant screens so guests can watch all the shows, attend workshops and beauty treatments, along with live demos from brands such as Maybelline New York. Tickets are available from £20.
