Say HELLO! to fashion's new power couple. Bee Shaffer, the daughter of Vogue US editor Anna Wintour, is engaged to Francesco Carrozini, the son of late Vogue Italia editor Franca Sozzani, it has been confirmed.Rumours first circulated that the pair were dating in September when they were spotted at Venice Film Festival together. Bee also attended a screening of Francesco's documentary about his mother, called Franca: Chaos & Creation the following month, but the couple have largely stayed quiet about their romance.

Although the pair were raised by two of the most influential women in fashion, neither Bee nor Francesco have followed their mothers into the industry. Instead they have both pursued careers in the entertainment sector; Bee works as a segment producer at US talk show Late Night with Seth Myers, while Francesco is a film director and photographer, and has directed music videos for the likes of Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj.

It is likely the couple met through their mothers, who were close friends for many years after each landing their magazine editor roles in 1988. Anna wrote a heartfelt tribute when Franca passed away following a year-long illness in December, describing her friend as "the hardest-working person I have known".

"Franca and I found ourselves falling into a friendship that I am so happy and honored to say sustained itself for 30 years. That's one thing that Franca taught me about friendship: Sometimes, you really have to earn it," Anna wrote. "In private, Franca was warm, clever, funny, and someone who could give the Sphinx a run for its money when it comes to keeping a confidence. She was also the hardest-working person I have known, and with an envy-inducing ease with multitasking."

Anna added: "She made everything she worked on appear effortless, regardless of whether it was an event for several hundred; a whirlwind trip to Africa to support the continent's emerging designers; or the creation of yet another newsworthy, provocative, and utterly spellbinding issue of Italian Vogue."
