Mario Testino has shot Kendall Jenner for a special edition of Vogue India. The fashion publication is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and to mark the occasion it has tapped top American model Kendall to front its May issue. Mario headed up the photoshoot at the opulent Samode Palace in Jaipur, India, with Kendall posing against a patterned wall in a black netted number by Saint Laurent for the cover image.

In another photograph, the brunette beauty is seen standing in an opulent blue tiled room in a long, flowing black dress with a sheer top as she bends her back towards a pillar. "Different elements of India have influenced my world - and in turn this issue," Mario said of the inspiration behind the shoot in a statement. "It's the people, the art, the colours, the elephants, and everything in between. I wanted to bring my world truly to this amazing nation, by shooting the issue in India. I wanted it to stay true to the Indian spirit."

The magazine's editor-in-chief, Priya Tanna, was thrilled to have the famed lensmen on board for the special issue and credits him for giving a "fresh perspective of the familiar". It's not the first time Mario and Kendall have worked together, as he's previously snapped her for spreads in V Magazine and America's Vogue.
