Katie Holmes is keeping some of her Met Gala dresses for daughter Suri. The 38-year-old actress has attended the fashion event for several years, and worn some stunning gowns in the process. While Suri has a few years before she would fit into the ensembles, Katie has held some of her favourite looks over for the 11-year-old when she wants them.
"I have a few of (my Met Gala dresses for Suri)," she told Entertainment Tonight. "And a lot of them have gone back to the museums where they were."
Katie previously spoke about Suri's love of fashion when she was still married to Tom Cruise, Suri's dad. Referring to the then four-year-old, Katie said: "I grew up the youngest of five, so there were a lot of hand-me-downs that I would sort of change up. And Suri and I do that now with her clothes. Or rather, she does it. She says, 'I want this sleeve cut,' and it's like, 'Okay, we'll cut it.'"

It remains to be seen whether Katie will pass the teal Zac Posen gown she wore to the 2017 Met Gala onto Suri. The former Dawson's Creek actress wowed in the off the shoulder dress, which featured a show stopping ruffled train. Katie is no stranger to wearing Zac's creations, having been friends with the designer for years, but knew she had found her perfect dress as soon as she tried on the gown.
"This was the only one I tried on," she said. "I love this dress because of the care that is taken into create something like this. Every ruffle is its own pattern, and there's so much thought and detail in it. It's really an honour to wear it."
