The Victoria's Secret model is set to host American Beauty Star
American Beauty Star will see 12 celebrity stylists and salon professionals compete in various challenges, to be judged by former Vogue beauty director Sarah Brown. Adriana, 35, confirmed the news on her Instagram account on Thursday night, posting a picture of herself with Beyonce's favoured make-up artist Sir John.
"So excited to announce that I will be hosting #AmericanBeautyStar with @sirjohnofficial COMING SOON @lifetimetv (sic)," she captioned the snap. American Beauty Star executive producer Norton Herrick added that he was excited to bring the new concept to viewers. "The collection of talent and creativity makes the series a must-watch for beauty enthusiasts of all ages and interests," he told Deadline in a statement.
American Beauty Star will join a roster on Lifetime which includes Kim Kardashian's show Glam Masters. Kim's beauty show will see beauty bloggers compete against each other for a chance to join the reality TV star's glam squad. Like Kim, Adriana has a powerful social media influence, boasting over 10 million followers on Instagram, which sets her apart from many of her model colleagues.
Analytics company D'Marie has previously studied the online reach of each Victoria's Secret model, and discovered that the Brazilian star came out on top. While Adriana has walked for the likes of Fendi and Versace, she remain best known for her work with the American lingerie brand, and having joined in 1999, is officially the company's longest serving Angel.
