The Duchess of Cambridge chose one of her favourite dresses to wear at Saturday’s tea party at Buckingham Palace - a cream knitted dress by French fashion label Chloe. Kate hosted the party with husband Prince William and Prince Harry for the children of men and women who died serving their country in the armed forces. The Duchess looked to be having a wonderful time in the spring sunshine as she chatted to children at the event. There was plenty of entertainment for the children, with live performances by Jess Glynne and Nina Conti and magician Lance Corporal Richard Jones.

It’s not the first time Kate has worn the pretty cream, knitted dress. The Duchess first chose the outfit to wear to a children’s party during a royal tour of Canada with husband Prince William and their children back in 2016. The cotton-blend dress is from the See By Chloe 2016 autumn collection, which cost £320 at the time. It features a pointelle knit fabric with button fastenings at the back and to the front shows a diamond-crochet effect, while the skirt section of the dress is plain. Once again, Kate paired the outfit with her cream wedge shoes and simple pearl earrings. She wore her long, brunette hair down and beauty-wise, the Duchess opted for a natural look for the daytime event.

Prince William and Prince Harry also looked to be enjoying the day, pictured laughing and chatting to guests. They both dressed smart-casual for the party, wearing dark suits with their shirts open at the collar and without ties. The royal trio arranged the event to honour the young children who have lost parents serving their country. The Duke and Duchess and Prince Harry hope the day will give the families a chance to meet others in the same situation and expand their support network.
