Gigi Hadid is diligently working on improving her runway walk. The model is one of the most sought after names in the fashion industry, having strutted the catwalk for brands such as Chanel, Marc Jacobs and Balmain.

After admitting last year that she felt her signature walk was weak, Gigi has now discovered some "tricks" to improve her posture.

Gigi Hadid has previously admitted her signature walk was weak

"I'm flat-footed, and I pretty much have a forced arch in my foot from playing volleyball my whole life," she told Harper's Bazaar magazine. "In the last six months, my walk has really improved because I've started to learn how to pad my shoes correctly to support my feet. It's like you learn little tricks, and you focus on those."

The 22-year-old, who is dating British popstar Zayn Malik, boasts over 34 million followers on Instagram and has landed lucrative brand ambassador contracts with Stuart Weitzman and Tommy Hilfiger. However, Gigi insists that she still gets nervous when she's about to hit the runway.

"I've really been working on trying to get better and to learn from every show, so I take it as a learning experience, because I always want to do my best. But I think it's always going to be nerve-racking for me," she shared.

The model is curently dating former One Direction star Zayn Malik

Whenever Gigi begins to feel overwhelmed by the expectations of her job, she turns to her younger sister, model Bella Hadid, for comfort. While some sisters can be competitive, the blonde star insists that Bella, 20, is entirely supportive of her career.

"She's so understanding of the demands of this job, and it's really great that I can talk to her about it," Gigi said of her sister. "Because a lot of the time I feel suffocated by my own work ethic and by the expectations I put on myself. It's really nice when you have people who say, 'It's okay to take time for yourself.'"
