Anna Wintour and Tina Brown's rivalry is to be the subject of a new TV series. The 67-year-old journalist remains a household name today after first rising to prominence in the '90s as the editor of Vogue magazine, while Tina was the editor of The New Yorker.

Both women were pioneers in their field and featured in Thomas Maier's tome about publisher Si Newhouse, entitled Newhouse: All the Glitter, Power and Glory of America's Richest Media Empire and the Secretive Man Behind It.

Now U.S. TV network Bravo has greenlit six-part scripted series All That Glitters, based on Maier's book.

"All That Glitters presents the true story of the behind the scenes rivalry, relationship and remarkable ascent of pop-culture icons Tina Brown and Anna Wintour," Bravo said in a press release of their new offering. "As both bold and driven women fight their way to the top of a male-dominated industry driven by greed and betrayal, they each find new paths to change the world around them - Tina, through the intersection of high-culture and celebrity, and Anna with an instinct for high fashion and emerging talent."

The programme is the latest tale of a high-profile female relationship to be made into a television series, following Ryan Murphy's Feud, a docudrama based on the prickly relationship between Bette Davis and Joan Crawford.

All That Glitters also follows the trend of magazine drama programmes, with Freeform's scripted series The Bold Type, inspired by Cosmopolitan and former editor Joanna Coles, already causing a stir.
