Queen Maxima looked as fabulous as ever on the fourth and final day of the royal tour on Friday. The Queen of the Netherlands, who has been making her way around Italy with husband, King Willem-Alexander, this week, ensured all eyes were on her as she paid a visit to the Design Museum Triennale in Milan, stepping out in a golden, billowy midi-dress. The striking design featured a whimsical floral pattern in hues of rose, white and forest green, and was cinched in at the waist – enhancing her petite frame. The 46-year-old complimented the show-stopping ensemble with an oversized straw hat, and a pair of tan suede Jimmy Choo sandals.

She accessorised with a gold bracelet, black watch, and drop earrings. A tan glove and clutch completed her look. Beauty-wise, Maxima wore her long, golden hair up in a sophisticated chignon, which drew attention to her striking features. In terms of make-up, she worked a subtle smoky eye, enhanced her flawless complexion with a glowy base and sweep of bronzer, and completed her look with a pale pink lip and perfectly groomed brow.

Throughout the tour, Maxima has made a number of enviable style statements. On Tuesday the royal turned heads in Rome dressed in a pretty blush-pink midi design which she styled with an oversized hat in a co-ordinating shade. The fit and flare silhouette – from Belgian fashion label Natan - is ultra-feminine and the lace overlay adds interest to the look. She accessorised further with a pair of pale pink suede courts and plenty of gold jewellery.
On Wednesday she stepped out in Palermo wearing a sleeveless white peplum-style dress teamed with embellished wedge heels and a wide-brimmed hat. Maxima elevated the look further with a pair of gold fan-inspired earrings and a statement gold necklace.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Her Majesty looked summer ready wearing a linen dress by Lisa Marie Fernandez for her visit to the Cenacolo Vinciano in the Refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan. The white 'Ric-rac trimmed linen slip dress' was adorned with ric rac trim in red, blue and black hues and finished with an oversized bow. Vibrant red accessories and black heels completed her look.
