Queen Letizia stepped out in an ultra-stylish ensemble as she arrived at the annual 'Discapnet' awards 2017 in Madrid. The Spanish Queen ensured all eyes were on her in a vibrant nautical-inspired striped silk shirt as she graced the Somontes Club in the Spanish capital. The Hugo Boss Binesa Stripe Shirt retails at £122, but has already sold out online. Designed to “add sharp style" to your look, the piece mixes the simplicity of monochrome with hues of red and blue. The long-sleeved number was teamed with a pair of orange cigarette trousers and a pair of leg-lengthening red stilettos.
Queen Letizia looked fabulous in her colourful ensemble
Beauty-wise, the 45-year-old’s long, glossy brown hair looked fabulous styled in a sleek, straight ‘do. In terms of make-up, Letizia outlined her large eyes with a bold black liner and lashings of mascara, and added a sweep of rose-hued blush to her cheekbones. A shimmery pink gloss and perfectly groomed brow worked as the perfect finishing touches to her look.
Letizia stepped out in another fashion-forward striped number earlier in the month
Queen Letizia is known for favouring trendsetting styles, and earlier in the month, looked fabulous in another striped ensemble - an off-the-shoulder midi dress by Carolina Herrera, which she wore to the 2017 UNICEF Spanish Committee Awards. The black-and-white striped knit number from the designer’s spring 2017 collection featured a pleated skirt and originally retailed for £1,500. The only difference was that the mother-of-two opted for a slightly shorter version of the dress that was modelled last September during New York Fashion Week.
Just like the Duchess of Cambridge, Queen Letizia is known for ability to mix high fashion. Back in January, she accessorised a designer gown with affordable jewels. She wore a full-length burgundy gown that featured delicate embroidery by Felipe Varela to greet foreign ambassadors at the Royal Palace in Madrid, and paired the sophisticated frock with a set of matching diamante earrings from the Portuguese brand Parfois – coming in at a price-friendly £5.
