Katie Holmes is renowned for her timeless sense of style, and boasts an enviable wardrobe filled with designer gowns. But it appears that the 38-year-old is a fan of one-off, second-hand treasures too! Over the weekend, the Dawson’s Creek star and her daughter Suri, 11, enjoyed spending time in a vintage shop, which Katie documented over on her Instagram account. In the image, which she captioned: "Vintage shopping," Suri is seen in the background trying on a hat, as Katie showcases a beautiful velvet embellished bag, which is adorned with pearl detailing and floral emboridery.

Lucky Suri is set to inherit Katie's Met Gala gowns
Katie is extremely close to her only daughter, and it appears that young Suri is set to inherit plenty of her pretty gowns in the near future. Recently, Katie revealed that she has held some of her favourite red-carpet gowns for her daughter when she wants them. "I have a few of (my Met Gala dresses for Suri)," she told Entertainment Tonight. "And a lot of them have gone back to the museums where they were."
Katie previously spoke about Suri's love of fashion when she was still married to Tom Cruise, Suri's dad. Referring to the then four-year-old, Katie said: "I grew up the youngest of five, so there were a lot of hand-me-downs that I would sort of change up. And Suri and I do that now with her clothes. Or rather, she does it. She says, 'I want this sleeve cut,' and it's like, 'Okay, we'll cut it.'"
