Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner have been tapped to star in Fendi's latest campaign. The American models and longtime pals have joined forces for the Italian luxury brand's fall/winter 2017 advertising imagery, which was shot by creative director Karl Lagerfeld.

For the photos, Gigi and Kendall pose together in a range of chic ensembles, against a white backdrop featuring Fendi's signature branding.

"I took inspiration from the new logo of the Maison, that, for me, is like an 'F en Folie'," said Lagerfeld in a statement. "Because of its crazy and unexpected upside-down position. I chose to play with exaggerated-scale versions of this logo and with the main colours of the collection, a mix of certain blues, camel and obviously, red."

In a series of close-up snaps, Gigi, 22, poses in a number of striking items such as a grey coat with brown fur detailing on the sleeves, a white dress and cropped brown fur coat, and a red patent leather A-line skirt and matching sheer red long-sleeved top.

For 21-year-old Kendall's single shots, she is seen sporting a black dress with sheer bodice and pleated skirt, a blue silk dress printed with a diamond-shaped motif and a white patent leather skirt which is matched with a cropped knitted top.

The campaign isn't the first time the social media stars have shared the spotlight, as Gigi and Kendall also appeared in the marketing for H&M's collaboration with Balmain.

Meanwhile, the new campaign comes as Fendi is boosting its presence across the United States.

According to WWD, the label is set to open new stores in New York's SoHo, Dallas and San Francisco in the near future.
