Queen Letizia was a vision in red when she stepped out at a museum in Malaga this week wearing a striking Nina Ricci crinkle-effect shift dress, the same piece she wore when meeting Michelle Obama last summer. The sleeveless number stood out in a vibrant red hue and looked stunning on the mother-of-two. It was originally priced at £1,760, but is now on sale at £528 – with per cent off on MATCHESFASHION.COM. Letizia kept to one colour scheme with her look, accessorising her ensemble with a co-ordinating Carolina Herrera ‘Maysa’ clutch, and a pair of leg-lengthening patent sandals by Magrit. A pair of gold drop earrings completed her outfit.
Queen Letizia looked fabulous in her red Nina Ricci dress
Letizia, who was attending the Instituto Cervantes annual meeting at the Museo Ruso San Petersburgo, looked sensational, wearing her long, honey-hued hair down in a sleek, straight ‘do and styled in a side parting. When it came to make-up, the 44-year-old rocked a subtle smoky eye, enhancing her large eyes with a bold outline of black liner, a soft grey eyeshadow and lashings of mascara. A natural foundation and a sweep of bronzer gave her a sun-kissed glow.
Letizia had previously worn her dress last summer when she met up with Michelle Obama
Despite having the biggest names in fashion desperate to dress her, the down-to-earth queen often chooses to recycle her favourite looks. Last week Letizia was spotted out in Cantabria wearing a Hugo Boss top which she had previously worn to the Accion Magistral Awards in Madrid back in 2016. The sleeveless design was adorned with a chic grid pattern and featured a flared, peplum-inspired hem. The timeless piece costs £220, and looked fabulous teamed with a pair of coordinating cigarette trousers and nude court shoes.
Over the years, royal onlookers have compared the remarkable similarities between Letizia and Duchess Kate, who too recycles many of her favourite pieces, along with the outfits of her two-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte, when out and about on royal engagement.
