Footwear designer Aruna Seth boasts an impressive celebrity and royal client base, with the likes of Princess Beatrice, Katherine Heigl and the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister, Pippa Middleton, counting themselves as fans. Pippa chose to wear a pair of Aruna's silver strappy sandals to her sister’s royal wedding back in April 2011. The talented designer, whose iconic shoes all feature Swarovski butterflies, spoke to HELLO! Fashion about working with Pippa.

"Pippa wore the 'Lynn style' for the royal wedding- a silver Italian leather strappy sandal adorned with a small Swarovski butterfly on the front. This had like all Aruna Seth shoes, special 'cashmere like comfort' padding made from napa leather so the feet are not only glamorously comfortable but they can breathe also," she revealed. Pippa's specially-designed footwear were then sent to the palace before the big day. "I wasn’t able to see anything," Aruna added.

Pippa, along with Princess Beatrice, also have a specific request when it comes to their shoes. "They both like comfort as they often have to be standing for long hours at events," she said.
Shoe making runs in Aruna’s family; her dad had his own shoe company. "They are in my blood," Aruna said, who used to work at her father’s office during the summer.

And it certainly helped having someone to give her advice when it came to starting out. "One of his best advice has always been to focus on one main product. Grow this first then you can start developing other products," she said.
And while Aruna has enjoyed a very successful career so far, there are still some celebrity clients she would love to design for. "Jennifer Lopez as she always stands out on every red carpet and Gigi Hadid as she has the perfect combination of edginess and elegance," she revealed.
