Tom Ford has unveiled a super glamorous collection for spring/summer 2018. The American fashion designer presented his latest collection at the Park Avenue Armory on Wednesday night as part of New York Fashion Week, with the likes of Kim Kardashian, Cindy Crawford, Doutzen Kroes, and Julianne Moore all perched on the front row.

And Ford didn't disappoint the fashionistas, delivering a line of sophisticated garments with plenty of sparkle – ideal for the upcoming Hollywood awards season.

The show opened with a model wearing a pale pink silk blazer and shorts combination, matched with a rose-pink sequin top and pointed fuchsia high heels. Opting for lots of luxurious silks and satins, Ford also presented a lilac bomber jacket worn with lavender leather motorbike trousers, a white silk suit which was complemented with a matching bralette and a line-up of blazers with satin lapels in a range of pinks and purples. Harking back to the unapologetically sexy clothes that he made for Gucci in the '90s, Ford also included a bright pink jumpsuit with plunging neckline, a silver two-piece suit, a very short minidress with silver and blue sequin ombre pattern and a tight black leather dress.

But his gowns had to be the highlight, with Kendall Jenner parading the catwalk in a one-sleeved black dress with sequin detail and Gigi Hadid rocking a finely draped pink dress with dramatic shoulder pads and silver sequin sleeves. For the show, both Kendall and Gigi wore their hair in cropped styles, with the wispy pixie cuts created for the event by celebrity hairstylist Orlando Pita.

"Tom wanted to cut all of the girls' hair off; this was my solution," he told Vogue backstage.

New York Fashion Week continues on Thursday with shows from Tadashi Shoji and Adam Selman.
