Thomas Sabo's stunning new collection has finally been released, and HELLO! visited Paris to take a look at their gorgeous new pieces. Inspired by far-eastern mythology, the stunning items of jewellery have been crafted from Sterling silver with each piece handmade to incorporate the stone embellishments. We sat down with the jewellery brand's creative director, Susanne Kölbli, to chat about jewellery trends, style icons and what kind of jewellery she would recommend to the Duchess of Cambridge!

Susanne opened up about the new trend of colourful jewellery, saying: "Colours are coming back into fashion, people are really interested in wearing colours or spending money on colours. It is the right time to do something nice with jewellery with colours because it's not so easy because... sometimes it looks cheap, but now I think it’s the right time."

Coloured jewellery is an upcoming trend

When asked about what jewellery she thinks would be perfect for the Duchess of Cambridge, Susanne said: "I think it would have to be pearl and maybe blue or something rose with pearl, she dresses in that classic way."

With Coco Chanel as her style icon, Susanne is clearly deeply passionate about bringing women everywhere a sense of confidence and pride in themselves by expressing themselves by their jewellery. She said: "I really like when women are really proud when they have their own meaning and when they have their own style… This is my dream that women recognise that even if they have no money that there is a point and try to make the best out of it… There is a beauty in everyone and these are all those little things to make peoples life a little happier and playful."
