The actor stars alongside model Liya Kebede and four-year-old actress Leila

October 5, 2017

Jake Gyllenhaal has been tapped to front the campaign for Calvin Klein's Eternity fragrance. The actor is one of the busiest men in Hollywood, having released movies such as Life and Stronger this year, and has also produced several projects under his Nine Stories Productions company. But Jake can now add model to his resume, as he has been selected as the face of Eternity's worldwide print advertising campaign, which was shot by photographer Willy Vanderperre. The black and white marketing imagery shows the 36-year-old posing with fashion model and maternal health advocate Liya Kebede, as well as Leila, a four-year-old actress.

Television advertisements featuring the trio will accompany the campaign, and will debut later this month.

"(The ads) will focus on Eternity Calvin Klein's longstanding ideas of romance, love, intimacy and commitment. Today, those values continue with the focus very much on contemporary life," brand representatives said in a statement.

Eternity was first launched in 1988, and features top notes of citrus, violet, and lily-of-the-valley. Created by perfumer Sophia Grojsman, it won an award for the Most Successful Women's Fragrance at the 1989 FiFi Awards, and in 2003 it was inducted into the Fragrance Hall of Fame. The masculine version of this fragrance, Eternity for Men, was created by Carlos Benaim and was introduced in 1990.

Other famous names to pose in Eternity campaigns include Christy Turlington and her husband Edward Burns, while Mark Wahlberg, Kate Moss, Margot Robbie, Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid have also fronted Calvin Klein fragrances.

Meanwhile, Jake will next be seen on screen in Paul Dano's movie Wildlife and as gold prospector Hermann Kermit Warm in The Sisters Brothers, also starring Riz Ahmed and Joaquin Phoenix.
