Cindy Crawford is enjoying reliving her early modelling years through her superstar daughter Kaia Gerber. The fashion icon soared to fame in the late 1980s alongside supermodels including Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington, landing gigs for the likes of Versace and Valentino. Now, her 16-year-old daughter Kaia, whom she shares with husband Rande Gerber, is paving her own path in the world of fashion and has several big campaigns under her belt, as well as walking for big brands during the recent Fashion Weeks.
"I just got back from a whole month of fashion," Cindy told E! News from her Talking Top Design event in New York earlier this week. "Not only was I doing some of my work but it was my daughter's debut on the runway so it was very exciting just to be with her and to kind of have a flashback to my career as a young model through her eyes. It was just very exciting for us and something that we could really share at this point in our lives, so it was fun."
Kaia strutted her stuff for everyone from Chanel to Saint Laurent, which held its Paris Fashion Week presentation under the Eiffel Tower.
Cindy continued to share how determined and passionate the teenager is about fashion and the 51-year-old star is also impressed by her daughter's knowledge.
"She knows every designer. 'Oh, he used to be there, but now he went there.' She knows everything, more than I did when I started because I was (from) small-town Illinois and we didn't have the Internet or Instagram - we didn't know anything," Cindy recalled.
"So, she loves it and I was so proud of her - I'm proud of her regardless - but I was just excited for her and I think she's been handling it really well and she brought it."
Cindy's oldest child, 18-year-old son Presley, is also a model, having posed for labels such as Dolce & Gabbana and Moschino.
