Spanish retailer Mango continues to prove its ethical credentials with the second drop of its sustainable capsule collection, Mango Committed. The range for both women and men has expanded from organic and recycled cotton to recycled wools, modal and lyocell (next generation forms of rayon) – all part of the brand’s growing commitment to sustainable fashion.

Liya Kebede models for Mango's second Committed collection

The campaign starring Ethiopian-born model and actress Liya Kebede, boasts military influences with details such as plastron pockets and aged copper rivets in tones of green, grey and ochre. HFM's top picks include the zip-detailed wide-leg white jeans, burnt orange corduroy trousers (perfect for now) and a classic camel coat with an oversized masculine twist. Style with trainers and a logo tee for a relaxed yet tailored take on daytime dressing and be the envy of the office.

Other stand-out pieces include the maxi puffer coat, a khaki funnel neck cropped jacket and a navy power suit complete with d-ring and stitch detailing.

For the men, we’re all over the utilitarian feel of everyday staple pieces in a muted colour palette of navy, khaki and camel. Mango has pledged to increase the percentage of sustainable fibres used in its collections, with a commitment to make 50% of its cotton sustainable by 2022.

Key pieces of the new Mango Committed collection include this classic camel coat

The collection marks a positive step forward for high-street retailers who are becoming increasingly more responsible for their environmental footprint. H&M launched its Conscious collection in 2011 and ASOS now roll out an Eco Edit every season, recognising the growing demand for sustainable fashion.

The Mango campaign reflects nature in its purest form – shot by Josh Olins in the striking landscapes of the Gulifoss waterfall and Haukadalur Geyser in Iceland, the result is a minimal collection with impact.

Head to Luxe For Less in our November Issue – out now – for more information on the collection, which drops in store on 16 October.
