Since her husband was sworn into office, First Lady Melania Trump has cemented herself as a style icon constantly turning heads in designs from some of the fashion industry's most sought out labels. And while the former model was initially met with resistance from some designers, the 47-year-old has the seal of approval from Victoria Beckham.
Earlier this month, Melania traveled from the White House to Puerto Rico wearing a wool turtleneck sweater by the British designer. David Beckham's wife commented on the first lady's decision to wear her design during Vogue's Forces of Fashion. "With regards to the first lady, she did wear something of mine the other day. She bought it from the shop," Victoria said. "I just think if any woman chooses to wear me, or invest in me as a designer, that's incredibly flattering."
She added, "I like to make everybody happy, and whoever it is, if they want to wear my clothes and I can make that happen, and the sample is free, then I would jump at the opportunity to do that." The first lady and her stepdaughter Ivanka Trump have previously worn designs by the former Spice Girls member. Melania donned a white fitted dress from Victoria's label for a 2016 interview with Anderson Cooper.
