Victoria's Secret has released the first two episodes of its hugely popular Road to the Runway video series, beginning with the all-important, and hugely competitive casting process. Jen Rubinetti, the Model Agent from Women Management, reveals in the clip that breaking the news to models that they haven’t been successful is her "least favourite part" of the job.
"It's my least favourite part of the casting process when I have to break it to the models that have worked so hard, that they aren’t going to get cast. We've had models that have auditioned for years, and then suddenly something changes or clicks – and that they have suddenly had the right look for that," she said.

Models featured in the footage include newcomer Amilna Estevao, who has worked with everyone from Topshop to Tom Ford. "It's my first time so I don’t know what to do," she said as she walked down the catwalk to audition. Amilna later told the judges that it would be a "dream come true" to be in the show, and was overcome with emotion when she was told that she had made the cut.

The second episode focuses on the chosen destination of this year's show – Shanghai. Hamish Hamilton, the brand's Executive Producer and Director, revealed in the clip: "It's a fashion show but also an entertainment show. How do we embrace the history and vibrancy of this city and put it into a camera?"
After the footage was released on YouTube, fans were quick to express their excitement for the upcoming show, with one writing: "Every year is amazing but I can tell that this year is going to be even bigger and better than ever before." Another said: "I'm so excited!" Karlie Kloss, who is returning to the runway for the first time in two years, added: "Coming for you, Shanghai!"
