The Duchess of Cambridge was casual and comfortable in a black zip-up jacket and trousers combo, on Tuesday morning as she made a surprise appearance at The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). The glowing royal, who is expecting her third child, became a Patron of LTA in December 2016. This patronage was previously occupied by Her Majesty The Queen, who held the role for 64 years. Duchess Kate’s glossy new, shoulder-length haircut was preened to perfection as always, and she wore it in a high ponytail style, which was brushed delicately away from her face. This differs from her usual style, which she typically wears loose, in a slightly curled, voluminous style.
STORY: Duchess Kate to attend glittering gala
The 35-year-old mother-of-two, who is suffering with severe morning sickness, arrived solo at the central London location, where she watched several on-court sessions, and met with the representatives of the LTA, whose sole mission is to get more people to play tennis more often. As a huge Tennis fan, she looked happy, and animated as she chatted with guests, and listened intently about the LTA’s plans.
The Duchess of Cambridge was dressed down for her outing on Tuesday
The ensemble was a slightly different choice for Duchess Kate; compared to her elegant dresses she has been wearing to various events lately. The black tracksuit skimmed over her small baby bump, and she sported a white polo-neck top underneath her sportswear. On the side of her track-pants a small gold motif was featured. She kept her jewellery to a bare minimum, choosing stud earrings, her iconic engagement ring and her Remembrance poppy, which was pinned just underneath her lapel.
