She has been wowing audiences on Strictly Come Dancing week after week, dressed to the nines in glamorous attire whilst gliding across the dancefloor with professional partner Anton du Beke. And speaking exclusively to HELLO! Online, Ruth Langsford has revealed the carefully selected wardrobe has given her the most remarkable "confidence boost". The TV presenter, who has just launched her new clothing collection with QVC, revealed: "They have the most amazing costume, hair and makeup department. There are all these amazing costume designers.

"You are allowed to say, 'no that's a bit racy for me' or 'that's too much cleavage for me and that’s too short'. They are very understanding and are very kind. However, I think it is incredible having watched the show since it started you see how people get more and more confident with their dance and more daring with their costumes, so who knows I might be slashed to the thigh next time you see me."

Whether she is presenting Loose Women or This Morning on a weekly basis, Ruth's outfits are often admired by many – so much so, the TV star shares pictures of her daily get-up. "It's very flattering to think that people like what you wear and your style," she shared. "It's even more flattering for me when I then design something for myself that they like too." Sharing her delight when fans get in touch, Ruth explained: "One of the nicest things is when people get in touch with me to say, 'Oh I bought your jeans and I love them'. I once had a lady get in touch and she just brought her third pair of jeans [from Ruth's line]. Another lady sent me a picture, she was on a cruise and she had one of my jackets one."

She continued: "That is real women wearing my clothes in their real lives and that's what it's all about. It's not a fancy designer range, it's an everyday range of clothes for women that I want them to look stylish but I want them to also feel comfortable." When asked whether she's feeling a lot more fit, Ruth replied: "I hope my fitness levels are going up. I was a bit concerned, I thought, 'Am I fit enough to do this?' But I am fairly fit, I do my 10,000 steps most days if I can, I eat fairly well the odd gin and tonic drink. Generally, I am in good health so I just think I will be fitter and healthier."

With a legion of fans backing the TV star, her biggest supporter is most definitely her husband Eamonn Holmes. "He is thrilled that I'm doing Strictly," she confessed. "He is absolutely 100 per cent behind it and he is holding the fort [at home] while I'm always out. These days I am either at work or dancing till to bed which is very lovely because when I came home [one night], Eamonn had already had my washing up bowl with ice in to put my feet in and a gin and tonic, that's the kind of husband you need."
