The 'Meghan effect' has well and truly began, and nobody has discovered this more quickly than LINE The Label – the Canadian brand who designed Meghan Markle's white engagement coat – which is currently completely out of stock until next year. Co-founder John Muscat revealed to HELLO! Online: "We’ve had these experiences with celebrities in moments over the last 17 years. Each one has been interesting. I’ve never really quite experienced anything like that."
John added that he was "very surprised," but "very honoured" that the former Suits actress had decided to wear the coat for such a special occasion, having given it to her previously. He said: "I’m very honoured. I was very surprised. Obviously I’d known I’d given her the coat. I had no expectation that she would be wearing it for that particular engagement."

For those who are wishing to replicate her chic look with the same design, March is the time to start checking the stores again. "The coat is sold out at the moment. It’s a 12-month to a year style that we run. It becomes available all the time. The Winter White is something that we’re trying to get back into stores by early March," John told us.
Meghan has long been a fan of LINE The Label, having discovered it when she moved to Toronto to film Suits, and John was "very interested" to work with her, not least because of her natural flare for fashion. "She’s effortlessly chic. She always has a style to her that’s very simple, very chic. I think that the wrap coat fits into her style. It’s something that’s been in our collection for a number of years. She has the coat in a number of colours. It’s just casual and sophisticated," he said.

John added that he was "very touched" that Meghan had chosen to step out in a LINE The Label coat. He said: "I can speak from my personal experience that I think it was very charming, warm and generous of her to wear that coat today. And I’m very touched by it. And I know everyone on the team is as well."
