Naomi Campbell and Marc Jacobs have designed a T-shirt for World AIDS Day.The British supermodel and the New York-based fashion designer have collaborated to show their support for the cause, which is marked on 1 December each year and is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV, and mourning those who have died from the disease. Together, Campbell and Jacobs came up with a simple yet bold design, a black T-shirt printed with the words, "This is a T-shirt by Naomi Campbell and Marc Jacobs to raise funds for UNAIDS".

In response to the concept, the The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS) executive director Michel Sidibe said he is thrilled to see the fashion community showing their support in a meaningful way. "By buying this special T-shirt, people can help level the playing field and empower young women to make independent and life-changing decisions and assert their right to health," he said.
The limited-edition T-shirt will be priced at $55 (£40), with all net proceeds of the purchase benefitting UNAIDS activities in support of people around the world living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. After attending an event for World AIDS Day last year, Campbell knew she wanted to contribute in some way, and was thrilled when Jacobs immediately agreed to come on board.
"Marc being Marc - he's an amazing, loyal friend for 31 years - said, 'Absolutely, I want to do this,'" she said, according to WWD, while Jacobs added he was more than happy to support Campbell's philanthropic endeavours.
I was honoured to be asked by her to collaborate on this T-shirt in support of UNAIDS as a continued effort to raise awareness for this globally important cause," he shared. The T-shirt will be available to be purchased from Jacobs' boutiques and websites.
