Queen Letizia was the lady in red as she stepped out on Thursday, 21 December 21, for a meeting at the Spanish Association Against Cancer headquarters in Madrid. The Spanish monarch showed off her holiday style wearing a festive red ensemble. The 45-year-old kept warm wearing a vibrant belted wrap coat by BOSS that featured oversized lapels.
Letizia layered the wool and cashmere piece over a chic black BOSS turtleneck, which she paired with a floral printed skirt by Carolina Herrera. Along with a red Zara bag and her Yanes earrings, King Felipe's wife completed her pre-Christmas look with one of the season's popular trends, red boots! The royal followed in the footsteps of Mila Kunis, Gwen Stefani, Elsa Hosk and more by wearing a pair of over-the-knee red suede Magrit boots.
Letizia is the honorary president of the Spanish Association Against Cancer. Her Majesty chaired the association's December 21st meeting, which addressed the contents of the 2017-2020 strategic plan, as well as projects planned for the New Year. Back in November, the mom-of-two traveled to Mexico for the World Cancer Leaders Summit, where she delivered a passionate speech.
The Spanish royal is no doubt gearing up to celebrate the holidays with her husband and their two daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía. The family released their annual Christmas card earlier this month with a photo taken in October during Spain’s National Day (October 12) celebrations. "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2018," the holiday message read in English and Spanish along with the four royals’ handwritten signatures signed below.
