All eyes were on the Duchess of Cambridge's outfit as she arrived outside St Mary Magdalene Church on Christmas Day with her husband Prince William. Kate, who is expecting her third child with William, dressed her growing bump in a £2,655 Miu Miu velvet-trimmed double-breasted tartan wool-blend peacoat which was accessorised with black shoes and a matching black hat. The 35-year-old looked glowing as she walked to the church, with her long, brunette hair styled in her trademark loose waves, while a nude lipstick completed her look.
It's been a busy month of celebrating for Kate, who attended the Queen's Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace last Wednesday, and enjoyed a staff Christmas party a week prior. It was believed that Kate turned up to the event in a heart print dress by one of her favourite designers, Alexander McQueen. The festive number features a self-tie neckline, ruffled hem and a drop-waist silhouette that would have concealed Kate's baby bump.
The Duke and Duchess and their children will have spent Christmas in Sandringham along with Prince Harry and his new fiancé, Meghan Markle. A spokesperson for Kensington Palace confirmed the news, saying: "You can expect to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and Ms Markle at Sandringham on Christmas Day." Meghan's invitation marks a break in tradition for the royals as Duchess of Cambridge was not invited to join Prince William for Christmas in 2010.
They will have had enjoyed a full English breakfast before stepping out to church, and will have woken to find stockings filled with small gifts and fruit at the foot of their beds. After the service, the royal family will carry out a small, informal walkabout to greet members of the public. This will be followed by a sit-down lunch of roast turkey and all the trimmings at Sandringham House. A walk around the estate follows, before they gather around to watch the Queen's Christmas speech at 3pm.
