Marks & Spencer have kicked off the New Year in style with an incredible new line focused on the plus-size market. CURVE for M&S is an extensive collection of over 100 pieces that have been designed to make the most of women's bodies, available in sizes 18-32. The news from the much-loved British store is especially exciting, given that no other high street outlet offers such a huge array of clothes that go up to a size 32. The head designers at Marks & Spencer spoke to 2,000 customers and recognised that women wanted a separate collection when it comes to plus size – which is exactly what they have achieved.
Marks & Spencer have released a new CURVE collection
A lot of brands that offer a 'plus size' collection tend to start from a size 12 - which is just under the average size of the UK woman - whereas CURVE starts at a size 18, and has been modelled and designed on a size 24. What's more, in the Marks & Spencer store there will be specially designed mannequins in a size 20 to showcase the items.
Instagram star Danielle Vanier consulted on the amazing collection
Style influencer Danielle Vanier consults on the collection; Danielle is a huge power player on the plus-size market, having amassed over 94,000 followers on Instagram, and is the perfect person to front the campaign given her passion for the project. She uploaded a post on her social media account showing her wearing one of the dresses from the line, which she actually designed herself, writing: "I designed not one, but two LBD's for @marksandspencer to coincide with the launch of their new plus size range!"
