Teenage model Kaia Gerber is adding designer to her resume after creating a capsule collection for Karl Lagerfeld.The 16-year-old is the daughter of modelling royalty Cindy Crawford, and is fast becoming one of the hottest names in fashion. As well as fronting campaigns for Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang, she's also become a Fashion Week regular and is now channelling her own personal style into a line, made up of ready-to-wear and accessories.

"When Karl first told us his idea to collaborate with Kaia, we were all excited by the incredible potential and power of bringing their two worlds together," said Karl Lagerfeld chief executive officer Pier Paolo Righi, according to WWD. "We have been working intensely over the last months with Kaia in L.A. and at our studio in Paris. It was exciting to see her clear vision, passion and engagement, and the collection will definitely inspire many young women."

Described as blending Karl's Parisian chic aesthetic and Kaia's signature West Coast casual style, the Karl Lagerfeld x Kaia collection hits stores in September. The brand is gearing up to launch the line with a series of events in Los Angeles, New York, and Paris later in the year.
Kaia and Karl previously worked together on the Chanel spring/summer 2018 show, which the brunette beauty opened during Paris Fashion Week in October. She also walked for the French brand, helmed by the German designer, in December for the Metiers d'Art show in Hamburg.
