Meghan Markle not only looked as stylish as ever when she stepped out in Cardiff on Thursday – but the royal-bride-to-be did so by paying tribute to her future husband. The former Suits actress, who was wrapped up warm in a statement black Stella McCartney coat, later unveiled her outfit underneath – which included a wool off-the-shoulder jacket from Theory. The $198 design was made from the Prince of Wales check – a nod to Harry's full title – Prince Henry of Wales. The statement piece featured long sleeves and cinched in at the waist, enhancing her slim figure.

The Theory jacket was teamed with a pair of £175 trousers by Welsh brand Hiut Denim and a patriotic green tote bag by DeMellier London, £165, which was a nod to the Welsh flag. Meghan, 36, wore her long brunette hair once again in an updo. Her make-up was typically flawless, featuring neutral brown eyeshadow, dark mascara and glossy nude lips.

Watch Harry and Meghan as they visit Cardiff

Harry and Meghan delighted royal fans when they stepped out in Cardiff on Thursday afternoon, who had been waiting since the early hours in the hope of catching a glimpse of the engaged couple. Meghan even took a selfie with one fan, and signed an autograph for a young schoolgirl – breaking royal protocol by doing so.

During their visit, Harry and Meghan went to visit the historic Cardiff Castle – one of the city's biggest attractions. Prince Harry's fiancée has fast become one of the biggest fashion influencers following the news of her engagement, with many of her chosen items becoming instant sell-outs as soon as she is seen wearing them. Meghan caused a sensation online when she visited Brixton on 9 January; the £45 knit jumper she wore from British high street chain Marks & Spencer not only became a sell-out, but was selling for four times the amount on eBay.
