Princess Eugenie broke with tradition when it came to her official engagement photographs. The 27-year-old, who announced her impending marriage to Jack Brooksbank on 22 January, chose to recycle one of her wardrobe favourites for the Buckingham Palace pictures - something no other royal bride-to-be has done before. Eugenie posed for her pictures with Jack in a stunning floral Erdem dress, which she first showcased back in 2016 when she was interviewed by Harper's Bazaar.
The Princess looked amazing in the dress by Erdem
Eugenie accessorised her dress with classic Jimmy Choo high heels and, of course, her dazzling new engagement ring. Perhaps she has been taking tips from her cousin-in-law Duchess Kate, who is known for recycling some of her favourite fashion items – namely her fabulous selection of dress coats.
Shortly after the announcement was made, Princess Eugenie was snapped in another floral design
On Tuesday evening, newly-engaged Eugenie was photographed in public for the first time since her exciting news was announced, stepping out in a dress by Whistles that she has also worn before – to a party hosted by Vogue magazine and Louis Vuitton in November 2017. The pretty floral dress is called the 'Dobby', and is currently available online in a selection of sizes, priced at £125. The Princess is clearly a fan of floral prints and embellishments of all kinds – a bold print like this always makes a statement and is the kind of design that never dates. Blooming gorgeous!
