The Saturdays singer is EE's red carpet host on the night

February 12, 2018

Looking red-carpet ready in a striking black jumpsuit by Elisbetta Franchi, Rochelle Humes was enjoying a night on the town – and some time off from mummy duty with her little girls Alaia-Mai, four, and 11-month-old Valentina - when she attended a pre-awards party last week. "Oh my goodness, it definitely makes a difference to the school run to glam up and go out," laughed the star, catching up with HELLO! ahead of being EE's red carpet host for the BAFTA's. "I'm really excited – it's my first time hosting. I really want to see Margot Robbie. Isn't she amazing?"

Rochelle will be hosting the red carpet coverage at the BAFTA's

"I just want to look at her!" she exclaims. At the upcoming BAFTA's, this year sees the launch of EE's Style Scanner . An ingenious new tool – it works very simply. As soon as you see the look from  Margot Robbie for instance,( Rochelle's fave!) on EE's Instagram account - you swipe up and they'll show you a shoppable alternative to that outfit. The 4GEE Style Scanner will photograph celebrities' red carpet looks. Innovative image recognition technology and EE's superfast 4G network will then match the style with affordable alternatives in a matter of seconds. How clever!

Margot Robbie will be in attendance - and Rochelle is a big fan!

The ceremony, at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday, will see A-list actresses wear black in support of the #TimesUp movement against sexual harassment in Hollywood, just like at the Golden Globes last month. "It's obviously the first opportunity to make a statement in the UK so everyone's going to support it," nods Rochelle. "Doing a big red carpet like this, fashion is the first thing to be picked up on, and what everyone's wearing is all over the media the next day – so it's the best platform for a woman to be able to make a stand. And it's an important message."

So what will Rochelle be wearing? "Well, my daughter would like me to wear pink with lots of sparkles," she laughs. "But no, I will absolutely be wearing black. I might have to wear thermals underneath, it's very cold at the moment. For the first time ever comfort might actually be part of my decision making!"

EE's BAFTA red carpet host Rochelle Humes trials the 4GEE Style Scanner ahead of the EE British Academy Film Awards 2018 on Sunday 18 February.
