Spring is finally on its way! And though the promise of warmer weather makes shopping for your new-season wardrobe all the more exciting, it can be hard to get spring style just right. The in-between weather, coupled with the vast choice of clothes on offer - from snuggly knits and cosy coats all the way through to bikinis and summer sandals – means it can be hard to strike a balance. Of course, the Spring/Summer catwalks are a great place to start when it comes to outfit inspiration – but don’t be put off by the eye-watering price tags, there are plenty of high street options to substitute.
Fendi Spring/Summer 2018
We’ve rounded up our favourite ensembles from this season’s runways to get you out of your transitional style rut – whether you’re looking to dress down, get some evening fashion inspiration or change up your wardrobe completely. Get ready to warm up your wish lists…
Mis-matched stripes
It was at the likes of 3.1 Phillip Lim and Zero + Maria Cornejo where bold Americana stripes were most fully embraced, though it’s the mixing of patterns that we think best serves as inspiration for a Spring wardrobe shake-up. On the high street, it’s Zara that offer the best selection of the linear print – mix and match the individual pieces as you wish.

The blazer and jeans combo
A long blazer is your spring best friend, easy to throw on over every outfit – but it was casual cool that reigned on the runways, where colourful jackets were teamed with classic denim. Go for a straight leg jean for the most on-trend cut, and team with a simple tee and ankle boots. This teal option from Miss Selfridge is a great way to get the look for less.
The vintage floral dress
Floaty floral dresses were all over the runway at Erdem for this season - as well as on the star-studded front row. Joining them with fun feminine prints were both Dolce & Gabbana and Alessandra Rich, whose pretty tea dresses give a distinct retro vibe - wear with sandals, or toughen up with trainers or ankle boots for a more modern look. This option from ASOS offers something different with its cool clashing patterns and layers.
Daytime sequins
Everyone from Valentino to Bottega Veneta and Oscar De La Renta opted to embellish the most everyday of items for Spring/Summer 2018, suggesting sequins are no longer just for party season. These embellished utility pants, by Topshop, hit the nail on the head - wear with a casual shirt to push the contrast.

The colour-pop power suit
Trouser suits are everywhere at the moment, whether it's on the stars on the red carpet, or on the runway - but refreshing pastel shades are taking the look straight into Spring 2018. We saw lemon yellow at Hermès, lilac at Victoria Beckham and powder pink at Gabriela Hearst - this ultra-chic two-piece from Ted Baker is the perfect way to rock the ever-coveted 'girl boss' look.
