There are numerous iconic designer bags out there – some of our favourites range from Mulberry, to Hermes to Chanel. But undoubtedly one of the most memorable bags of the past has to be the Dior saddle bag. The statement arm candy was a huge hit in the 90s – particularly when Sex and the City was on our TV screens. Carrie Bradshaw carried the bad under her arm on her very first meeting with on-screen boyfriend Aiden - making it instantly cool. It is easily the most recognisable bag of its time and sells for large sums on EBay.

Last week, the bag made a triumphant return to the catwalk in all its printed logo glory and eager fashionistas all over the world gave a happy cheer at its reappearance. The bag is back – alongside two black leather designs and three intricate beaded versions – so there is something for all tastes. It's had a much-needed modern makeover and we love what we see.

The bag has never really left celebrities' shoulders – with many of the Hollywood A-list carrying vintage versions and working past designs into their ensembles - giving them an instant unique edge.  Bella Hadid worked a denim design last year and model Elsa Hosk posted a shot on Instagram of her wearing a bikini in February – and her Dior saddle bag was also in view. The all new Dior arm candy is the talk of social media, with Nicky Hilton exclaiming: "So Dior is bringing back the saddle bag…history really does always repeat itself"

Vintage versions of the bag are hugely popular

The bags will be available in stores later this year and we are excited to add to our collection. If you can't wait that long – vintage versions of the bags are still around online in a variety of different styles. Saddle up and welcome back!
