Victoria Beckham is known for her fashion sense but her latest outfit grabbed headlines for the wrong reason on Wednesday. The designer stepped out in a burgundy and white plaid two-piece in Paris, which one online newspaper couldn't help noticing slightly resembled a 'laundry bag'. The blouse and skirt combo was from Victoria's own pre-autumn 2018 collection and was a new look for the busy mum-of-four. The star was photographed at the Gare du Nord station and at the Margiela 1989-2009 exhibition at the Palais Galliera. Poor Victoria came in for quite a bit of stick, with some readers on the internet also likening her outfit to a tablecloth.

Victoria's plaid pattern is all down to personal taste and we have to say, the style was a flattering one. The buttoned-up collar is a cute look and the cinched-in waist and tapered sleeves look great on the former singer. Victoria accessorised with a maroon leather handbag, her trademark dark shades and matching maroon boots. She wore her hair in a casual up-do for the outing.

LOOK: The one tiara Meghan Markle definitely won't wear when she marries Prince Harry
Earlier in the month, the famous mum showcased a stunning transitional outfit for spring –a gold-toned yellow pleated skirt from her own collection, also in Paris. The pleated skirt nailed numerous trends in one: pleats, buttery hues and the hugely popular, on-trend midi length. Victoria had many outfit changes in the French Capital – the day before she looked incredible donning a tan ensemble which she teamed with black knee-high boots and a structured handbag.
