The Countess of Wessex just stepped out in the MOST surprising dress

The Countess’s fashion reign continues!

June 4, 2018

The Countess of Wessex has evolved into something of a style icon in recent years. Her smart, chic outfits often have a quirky twist to them yet still look effortlessly suitable for her many royal engagements. And on Monday she debuted a daring, super colourful outfit that was just perfect for welcoming in the summer months. The 53-year-old made an appearance at the National Memorial Arboretum in Lichfield for the launch of a new memorial dedicated to the nurses that lost their lives in the first and second world wars. She wore a bold midi dress featuring a graphic print and purple block print, with a fitted top, nipped-in waist and full skirt.

Sophie looked radiant at the memorial event

She teamed the frock with a cropped red cardigan, deep purple clutch bag and pale pink pointed court shoes – talk about a colour explosion! She wore her hair off her face in her trademark up 'do and kept her makeup fresh and natural. Sophie looked relaxed as she chatted with other attendees before and after a memorial service for the nurses. The colourful frock was a bold choice for such a sombre event, but Sophie pulled it off by keeping the rest of her outfit low-key.

Just last month Sophie was the epitome of elegance as she stepped out in London to attend the opening day of the Chelsea Flower Show. The Countess looked absolutely stunning dressed in a flowy white cotton maxi dress featuring bat wing sleeves and a ruffled hem, which she teamed with a pair of nude court shoes and a co-ordinating clutch – which looked to be the exact same bag she accessorised her royal wedding outfit with on 19 May.

For Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's nuptials she went for a stunning duchess satin skirt with embroidered grey top by Suzannah was a chic choice, paired with a matching Jane Taylor hat. The mum-of-two accessorised with a striking bracelet and pretty drop earrings.
