We're all familiar with those often-repeated style rules: don't show both cleavage and legs, only go for a bold lip or a bold eye, and never clash prints. Well, sometimes it pays to bend or even fully break them – as Lorraine Kelly proved today when she stepped out to present her ITV morning show wearing a bold red sundress. The frock, which is on sale at Warehouse for £55, features two clashing red and white prints – one floral, the other candy striped. The dress also features loose sleeves, a wraparound waist, and an asymmetric midi-length hem.
The presenter teamed the look with low-heeled strappy tan sandals from office and a subtle silver necklace. She wore her hair in a glossy blowdry and kept her makeup fresh and subtle. Her Lorraine show's Instagram account posted a picture of the outfit, along with the caption: "Whoever said you shouldn't clash prints? Get the statement look." Fans were quick to heap praise on the unusual style. One commented "Looking cool Lorraine" and another added "You look beautiful".
It's not the first bold look Lorriane has opted for recently. On Friday she embraced Pride in a rainbow-striped dress from none other than high street favourite Primark. The £20 dress is part of the brand's current collection and fashion bloggers everywhere have been loving it. The sell-out design is cut in a wrap-style and features long sleeves, a flattering V neckline and belted tie waist. The material is super light and easy to throw on and makes an instant statement.

And on Tuesday she looked incredible in a bright orange number, also from Warehouse. The Top Pocket Shirt dress, £35, is the kind of design that is so easy to wear due to its light material and casual cut – we love the front pockets and button-down detail. It has a gathered waist and Lorraine made the dress her own by rolling up the sleeves.
