There have been so many brilliant fashion and beauty moments in this season of Love Island – from Georgia's fierce ponytail to Caroline Flack causing a website to crash thanks to her bargain dress. And the final, of course, was no exception – all the islanders dressed to impress in the ballgowns from show fashion partner Missguided, but it was host Caroline who got social media talking with a quirky scarf-style gold and white dress. The striped frock featured a crossover halterneck front, a nipped in waist and draped scarf-style skirt, complete with fringing.
Caroline's dress divided viewers on Monday night
We've tracked down the dress and can reveal it's by Alice McCall – and even better, it's reduced to £130.20 from £390, so over half price. The dress divided opinion between social media users – her Instagram followers loved the look, with one commenting "simply stunning" and another saying "How come your always so gorgeous I'm so jealous". Over on Twitter however many people mocked the look, with some comparing it to a beach towel or a Twister ice cream. One viewer wrote: "Who made the decision to dress Caroline Flack as a lampshade?" Oh well, you can't please everyone!
On Friday, the presenter caused a stampede to online retailer Glamorous when she wore a bargain red leopard print minidress from the brand. The pretty summer dress features an asymmetric sleeve and ruffle trim, as well as a nipped-in waist and skater-style skirt.

One user tweeted: "When will site be back up been trying for 3 hours now" while another commented: "Love this dress, can't get onto website though". To which a spokesperson responded saying that "due to an overwhelming amount of traffic, the site has just crashed! Our tech team are working on it now and we'll be back up ASAP x". The dress has now sold out, but the team confirmed it will be back in stock on 30 August and is ready to pre-order now.
