Marks & Spencer has been killing it lately when it comes to summer dresses. First of all, we had THAT white and blue striped design which was hailed as the "dress of the summer". Then of course, there was the arrival of the leopard print midi dress, with the neon stripe down the side that sold out at an impressive rate. Shoppers loved it so much that M&S released a follow up in navy blue polka dots, with a splash of red in place of where the neon detail was before. Now, they introduced a jumpsuit that it is so extra that it actually sold out in just 24 hours online, ahead of its release. The £38.50 design is made in a deep navy blue, has red detail and features a smock waist, open back and ruched sleeves. It’s the kind of cut that would flatter all body types and easy to see the madness surrounding it.

Bloggers and Influencers were the first to get in on the act – with @thefashionablepan looking particularly chic teaming it with bedazzled flip flops. The popular blogger wrote: "Seriously, it was like the friggen Zara sale all over again today with this jumpsuit. The hysteria and anticipation over its release and the stress, anxiety and hilarity over it not happening this morning," she wrote.

If you are instantly perplexed that you have missed out, don’t worry. Marks & Spencer has confirmed it will be restocked both online and in stores from August. Phew! "CURRENTLY SOLD OUT BUT COMING BACK SOON…WATCH THIS SPACE" the brand commented don their social media account.

£38.50, Marks & Spencer

It seems that 2018 is the year of the department store – especially as a certain Duchess Meghan sent fans into overdrive when she donned the black batwing jumper by M&S Autograph. The £45 knit sold out in seconds when she wore it in Brixton and was even seen on eBay for triple the price, showing the 'Meghan Effect' really is in full force.
