Former Bake Off judge Mary Berry was the cover star of You magazine on Sunday and in it, she revealed her fashion and beauty rules as well as where she likes to shop - and yes, Zara made the list.
"I'll often pop in and I'll always find something I like. Though you have to be careful as the sizing can be a bit odd," she said. She also admitted to loving M&S, Russell & Bromley, L.K.Bennett and a local shop where she lives called Fluidity in Hemley-on-Thames.

For the issue, Mary modelled many glamorous looks, and looked beautiful on the cover in a vibrant red skirt with a crisp white blouse. When asked if there was an outfit she wouldn't wear, she revealed it's the whole skirt and trainers combo.

"This is something I cannot come to terms with," she said. "You are not going to get me in a beautiful skirt with a pair of white trainers. To me, that is the oddest thing. I feel the Americans started it. Everyone else can wear that but please don’t ask me to!"
She does take some style risks of her own though, and is aware she started the trend for the jazzy jacket trend after rocking so many during her days of being a judge on the hit baking show. How many does she own? "Forty, or goodness, maybe 50 of them," she said. "Many that I don’t wear. I had a lot of floral ones for Bake Off but I have now gone back to preferring the plain.

"I think most people my age go for something rather boring and safe, whereas I go for lively and safe!"
Her newest love is cashmere - "I do love jumpers with a little bit of sparkle. I have star-print cashmere jumpers, embellished ones, some with pearls around the neck. I just love them all."
It matters, too, what her husband of 52 years, Paul, thinks. "My husband would prefer that I didn’t wear trousers in the evening, but he has sort of weakened," she said.
In the interview Mary reveals a very simple beauty regime. Every day she moisturises with E45 cream, cleanses with Johnson & Johnson wipes, doesn't wear foundation and sticks to just ONE shade of lipstick - Max Factor's English Rose.
