Veganuary is absolutely huge this year – that's trying a meat-free and dairy-free diet for the month of January. People up and down the country are giving the diet a go, and now the concept has caught on for footwear too. From January, high street store Marks & Spencer is expanding its vegan friendly range into shoes and accessories, after vegan searches on its website doubled in the last year. The store has some gorgeous styles on sale from mustard yellow stilettos to nude sling backs and the classic white trainer with some sassy rainbow stripes. There's even a spot of leopard print.
The new vegan footwear collection is available across Womenswear, Menswear and Kidswear, and is identifiable by an M&S vegan logo already used within the food department. The store says that 100% of Women’s synthetic footwear styles will be vegan friendly (including slippers!) with Womenswear shoes range from £19.50 to £35 and featuring Insolia® technology.
Among our favourites are the white M&S Collection Heel with striped ankle strap for £35 and the dreamy two-tone Collection Spring red and peach kitten heel, priced £19.50.
We're also loving the yellow and white slingback, priced £25 and the M&S Collection trainer with rainbow stripes, also at £25.
If vegan footwear is anywhere near as popular as the vegan diet right now, this collection is going to be HUGE. We predict a rush…
